Chimney Inspection:
When inspecting the chimney, all accessible areas of the chimney are inspected visually for imperfections in the flue or chimney according to Chimney Safety Institute of America guidelines. The National Fire Protection Association recommends yearly cleaning and inspections.
Chimney Cleaning:
When cleaning your chimney, we place a drop cloth down to protect the area, and a vacuum is used to contain dust. Cleaning includes sweeping the flue and cleaning the smoke chamber and firebox. Once clean, the chimney is visually inspected.
Chimney Relining:
In most cases, we reline chimneys with HomeSaver stainless steel chimney liners and components. We offer relinings for fireplaces, furnace and boiler flues, and positive connect liners for woodstove installations.
Custom Chase Covers:
We measure the chase and order a custom chase fabricated in stainless steel, galvanized metal, or copper. Once fabricated, the chase is professionally installed.
Damper Repair and Installation:
Whenever possible, we repair the damper to ensure the seal prevents drafts and heat loss. If dampers are not repairable, we install top-sealing dampers.
Chimney Cap Installation:
We install single flue or multi-flue stainless steel chimney caps to keep out moisture, birds, animals, and debris. Custom sizes and copper caps are available upon request.
Masonry Repair:
We offer chimney mortar crown replacement, resetting of loose bricks, and pointing up. We also provide firebox repair.
